On 9/25 The LCSD#1 Board of Trustees indicated they expect teachers to create catalogs of their classroom libraries.  Despite educators telling them that teachers' time and resources are already spread too thin, board members are determined to complicate access to books for our students in pursuit of political agendas driven by out of state organizations.

In other states with similar policies,  we've seen teachers forced to box up their classroom libraries completely because they simply don't have time. W

Classroom libraries turn our kids into strong readers.  We cannot let this politically motivated board deny our kids access to classroom libraries.

WYFAF will assemble a team of volunteers who will assist teachers when and if this terrible policy is put into place.
